(2013, live cinema with orchestra)
On April 5, 2013, Dan Visconti and Simon Tarr performed a new artwork at Carnegie Hall with the American Composers Orchestra. Dan composed the musical score and performed on artfully broken toys, while Simon filmed, animated, and then performed a new video live with the orchestra. Using animated airplane contrails and other flights of fancy and regret, the video (and the music along with it) teeters on the brink of destruction, taking the entire audience along with it.
On this page there are some images taken from the show, but for contractual reasons there is not a complete record of the event. In some ways, we're sorry about that, since we know not everyone could be in New York at the time. On the other hand, there was something amazing about creating an experience that could only live at that moment.
